Master of Computer Applications (MCA) under the Faculty of Science & Technology

Introduction : The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two-year full-time Post Graduate Programme approved by AICTE. The course is designed to provide advanced knowledge in computer applications, software development, data science, networking and emerging technologies. It aims to prepare students for leadership roles in the IT industry by combining strong academic foundations with practical exposure. The MCA program equips students with problem-solving skills, project experience and industry readiness, thereby creating opportunities for both professional careers and higher research.

Objectives : This program develops highly skilled computer professionals capable of meeting the growing demands of the IT sector. It emphasizes advanced computing, problem-solving techniques, system design and managerial aspects of IT. The course prepares students to adapt to new technologies and to contribute effectively to the digital world.

Duration : It is a full-time 2-year degree course divided into IV semesters, as per AICTE guidelines.

Intake Capacity : 60 Students

Eligibility Criteria : A candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, IT or an equivalent discipline with the required percentage as per university norms.

Medium of Instruction : The medium of instruction is English only.

Scheme of Examination : As per AICTE-approved examination pattern.

Scope of Placement : The MCA program opens doors to a wide range of career opportunities in the IT industry, including roles such as: Software Developer / Engineer, System Analyst, Database Administrator, Web & Mobile Application Developer, Data Scientist / AI Specialist, IT Consultant, Research & Teaching in Computer Science
